Etna, day 36. Totally out of sight.

December 02, 2002:

Etna, day 37. NOAA 12 view, infrared ch. 3b,4,5.

NOAA 14, IR channels 3b,4,5.

December 03, 2002:

Etna, day 38. Again only channel 4-5 show some activity.

December 04, 2002:

Etna, day 39. Thick heavy smoke.

December 06, 2002:

The plume extends all the way into the heel of the boot. The pronounced 'blue' spot is the hot spot of the Etna cone as seen in channel 3.

Etna, day 41. Extraordinary night view in channels 3, 4 and 5.

December 07, 2002:  Day time clouds forbid regular images. Dusk and evening provide better views in infrared (false coloured).
